Managing Sharing Rules

On the core level, behavior of USB over Network is defined by Device Sharing Rules. They are super-flexible and allow to determine what USB over Network will do with every particular device, or with some group of devices selected by their Class, Subclass, Protocol, etc. But for convenience, each particular device can be managed by Graphical User Interface on the Devices pane.

  • When you share the device as described above, new Sharing Rule is created with the action Share and all the Match fields filled with the data describing this particular device.
  • When you block the device as described above, new Sharing Rule is created with the action Block and all the Match fields filled with the data describing this particular device.

All Sharing Rules, either created by the GUI or self-written can be managed on the Rules pane.
